Jim Zotz has been a part of the Brandeis Athletics staff since 1978, when he joined Brandeis as the swimming and diving coach, a role he held until 2010.
As leader of Brandeis Swimming and Diving, Zotz Led BUSDT to 275 dual meet wins in 32-year career. He was a Two-time New England and UAA Coach of the Year who mentored 15 All-Americans and 67 New England champions. Additionally, his teams were named CSCAA All-Academic 44 times in his tenure.
Zotz stepped down as a head coach in 2010, but has remained on the staff as an assistant athletic director and as a strength and conditioning coach since then. In 2016, he was inducted into the Brandeis Athletics Hall of Fame.
