Rookie epeeist Hunter Stusnick won what proved to be the winning bout, breaking a 13-13 tie with the Bears on their home turf. The title is Brandeis's first since 2009.

The Judges shot 57 percent in the first half and outscored the Bears, 44-32, but the touch went cold in the second. Paris Hodges scored all of her 13 points in the first half.

The men won, 157-97, sweeping all 16 events, while the women were 160-125 victors for their first home win under Mike Kotch. Seniors Gabby Drillich and Max Fabian were honored before the meet.

Junior Colby Smith led the team with 15 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two blocked shots. He hit the game-winning free throws and blocked the Maroons' last-ditch attempt as well.

The Judges' men and women both edged host Air Force by one and defeated CalTech handily, while the women topped Stanford by one. Adam Mandel went 11-2 for the men, Caroline Mattos was 12-2 for the women.

Paris Hodges, who missed her first eight games, had season-highs of 12 points and eight rebounds. She was one of five Judges in double figures, along with Frankie Pinto (12), Heather Cain (11), Niki Laskaris (10) and Sydney Sodine (10).
