Brittany Grimm '12 named interim softball coach
A three-time All-UAA and Academic All-UAA selection, Grimm will coach the Judges after having served as an assistant in 2013. Grimm replaces Jessica Johnson, who took the head coaching position at Amherst earlier this month.

A 24th-minute goal held up as the Judges held the previously-unbeaten Engineers without a shot on goal. It was Brandeis's first win as a top-five program since 1996.

The Judges dropped a dramatic five-set match against Wesleyan before getting swept by Wellesley. Senior middle blocker/right side Carly Gutner-Davis had nine kills on the day after missing Friday's match.

The Judges played tight in the first two sets, erasing five set points before falling in the second, but the Bears pulled away in the third. Summer Koop led the Judges with seven kills and .400 hitting percentage.
