Senior Corey Bradley scored in the 88th minute and had a nice attempt go wide in the final 30 seconds today as the Brandeis men fell just short in their season finale, 3-2, against NYU. Rookie Sam Ocel scored the Judges' first goal.

Mimi Theodore scored her team-leading ninth goal of the season just 65 seconds into the second half and the Judges were able to fend off a hard-charging NYU attack thanks to nice plays by sophomore backs Ali Maresca and Francesca Shin in a 1-0 victory over NYU.

The Brandeis volleyball team dropped a pair 3-0 decisions on day one of pool play of the 2009 UAA Championships, but rallied for a 3-1 win in their final match. They fell to defending UAA and NCAA champions Emory, 25-16, 25-21, 25-21, and host Chicago in the second match, losing three sets by a combined six points, 25-23, 27-25, 25-23, before topping CMU, 25-13, 25-18, 27-29, 25-16.
