Spring 2010 Group Fitness Class Schedule

All classes are held in the Gosman Dance Studio (located on the bottom level) and are open to the entire Brandeis community. No advance sign-up is necessary. Just drop in!

Class Descriptions

 

Ab Blast

In this 30 minute class, we will focus on training our stomach and back muscles to tone the abdominal core and increase overall balance and strength.


Cardio Circuit

An hour-long workout in which participants move around to different stations and use different pieces of equipment to perform both cardio and muscle-toning exercises.

 

Kickboxing

Burn fat and have fun with this kick-butt, high-energy class that incorporates martial arts and boxing to create an intense cardio workout that will make you sweat like you've never sweat before. (high intensity, medium difficulty of movement) 

 

Pilates Sculpt

An hour-long strength building class in which participants use their bodies as tools to build strength and muscular endurance.

 

Step Aerobics

This low-impact cardio class uses an elevated surface to give your body an extra push.  The choreography is easy to learn and the workout can be challenging for all fitness levels.

 

Total Body Toning

An hour-long strength training class targeting all muscle groups. we will focus on training each part of the body for a portion of the class using a variety of exercise equipment.


Yoga

This class will work to tone and strengthen your muscles through a series of different postures and breathing exercises. Meditation will also cultivate mental health and relaxation. This is a class for all ages and skill levels.
