Seventeen from spring sports added to the All-UAA Silver Anniversary Team
Seven baseball and softball players, two from men's tennis and one from women's tennis were honored in the 25th anniversary of the University Athletic Association.

Centerfielder Liam O'Connor is the Judges' fifth baseball Rookie of the Year, while sophomore Kyle Brenner joined him as a second-team All-UAA member.

UMass Dartmouth spoils senior day triple play, 7-5
The Judges turned a triple play in the fourth inning and took the lead in the bottom of the frame, but the visitors used two big innings. The loss snapped Brandeis's five-game winning streak in the final game of their seven seniors.

Sophomore Kyle Brenner won four straight decisions to earn UAA Pitcher of the Week honors on April 22 and 29. He also was named to the April 30 D3baseball.com Team of the Week.

Today, April 20, Baseball and Softball will be played as scheduled, with the minor change of game times which have been pushed back an hour to 1 p.m. to allow the grounds crew time to prepare the fields.

Unearned runs cost Judges in 8-1 loss at Roger Williams
Dylan Britton allowed just three hits in seven innings of work, but two costly errors allowed the host Hawks to score three runs in the seventh, and another in the eighth opened the floodgates. Pat Seaward had a couple of hits for the Judges.

In a rare mid-week doubleheader, the Judges took game one from the Wildcats behind an RBI and a complete-game shutout by sophomore Kyle Brenner. The Wildcats bounced back in the nightcap, 6-3.

Junior 3B Dominic Schwartz had two hits, including a double that allowed him to score two wild pitches later, but the Judges fell to the Lancers.

The Judges were held to seven hits by the Corsairs. Kyle Brenner went 2-4 with a double, while Mike Swerdloff suffered the loss despite allowing just three earned runs in 6.2 innings.

With six innings of nine-hit ball, senior Dylan Britton improved to 3-2 on the season with win over the Rams. Liam O'Connor matched his career-best with three RBI, while Tommy McCarthy had four hits and a walk.

Figueroa '98 dominates, earns win for Puerto Rico against US in WBC
(photo from MLB) The Judges' most successful pro athlete continued to build his legacy with a six-inning, two-hit performance against the USA in the World Baseball Classic. Puerto Rico hung on to upset the Americans, 4-3, giving Figueroa the win.

The Judges fell behind by a large margin early in a 13-5 loss to Washington U., and battled back-and-forth with Emory before suffering an 8-6 loss to the defending UAA champs. Rookie Liam O'Connor had three hits and three RBI in the second contest.
