One of three captains for 2008 season... 2007: Turned in one of
the top seasons in Brandeis volleyball history, culminating in
honorable mention All-America honors from the AVCA, the first
All-American in program history... Also claimed first-team All-New
England and second-team All-UAA honors... Was named to three
All-Tournament teams: the Brandeis Invitational, the Hall of Fame
Tournament and the Mid-Coast Classic, while claiming Most Valuable
Player honors in the ECAC tournament for the second year in a
row... Named UAA Player of the Week in back-to-back weeks, Sep. 17
and 24, as well as Oct. 22... Surpassed her own school record for
kills in a season with 562 while becoming the second Judge ever
with 1,500 career kills... Ended the season with 1,541 kills, 176
behind Julie Hootnick ‘00 for the all-time lead... Also
enters season second in career digs with 1,225... Led the UAA and
36th in the NCAA with 4.43 kills per game... Finished fifth in the
league with 0.51 service aces per game... Reached double figures in
kills in all but four matches and recorded 14 double-doubles,
giving her 52 for her career... Hit above .300 eight times,
including a season-high .474 against Colby Oct. 19 (10 K-1 E-19
TA)... 31 kills in 3-2 loss to Williams, Oct. 20, was a
career-high... Totaled season-high 17 digs three times... 2006:
Earned All-UAA Honorable mention honors for the second year in a
row... Was named MVP of the ECAC Tournament by leading the squad
with 44 kills in nine games over three matches, hitting for a
phenomenal .463 percentage, plus a team-high 23 digs... Missed only
three games all season... Led the team in kills for the second year
in a row at 3.23 kpg, eighth-best in the UAA... Led the team with
402 digs, while her 2.86 digs per game were second... Totaled 16
double-doubles on the season, giving her 38 for her career... Led
the team in kills 16 times and in digs 11 times... Had 23
dougle-digit kill matches and 22 matches with 10 or more digs...
Hit above .300 in six matches, including a .778 performance against
Lasell (7 K-0 E-9 TA) on 10/24 and .739 in the ECAC Quarterfinals
against Framingham State (18 K-1 E-23 TA)... Season-high 21 digs
came in 3-2 win at Eastern Nazarene, 9/19... Her double-double of a
season-best 19 kills and 19 digs wasn’t quite enough in a 3-2
UAA loss to Rochester, 9/29... 2005: Honorable mention All-UAA as a
rookie... Started all 38 matches and did not miss a game... Led
team in kills (540, 3.86 kpg) and digs (490, 3.50 dpg)... Second on
the squad in service aces (74, 0.53 sapg)... Finished fifth in the
UAA in kills, sixth in services aces... Earned UAA Player of the
Week honors on 10/11 after being named to the ECSU Crabtree Classic
All-Tournament team... Totalled 78 digs and 65 kills in that
tourney... Also earned All-Tournament honors at the Springfield
College Invitational in the opening weekend of her collegiate
career... Led team in kills 24 times and tied for team-high honors
four other times... Defensively topped the team in digs 13 times...
Recorded 22 double-doubles... Had 20 kills five times, including a
career-high 27 on three different occasions (10/28 vs. Gordon,
10/29 vs. Endicott, 11/5 vs. Case)... Hit for .300 percentage or
better in eight matches, including career-best .583 in second match
of collegiate career Sep. 03 against Suffolk (15 K-1 E-24
TA)...Eight 20-dig matches... Career-high in digs came Sep. 24
against Middlebury with 23... Had five aces in a match three times
(Sep. 24 vs. Middlebury, Oct. 28 vs ECSU, Oct. 29 vs Plymouth
State)... Academic: Economics major... Spring 2006 Dean’s
List... High School: Played four years of volleyball and two years
of soccer at City Honors School in Buffalo, N.Y.... Served as
captain of the Centaurs as a senior, leading the team to a 12-0
record and a City Championship... Earned first-team All-Western New
New York honors at outside hitter following junior and senior
seasons... Second-team All-New York State in senior campaign...
Played club for Niagara Frontier... Involved with Big Brother/Big
Sister program and Amnesty International.
