CHICOPEE, Mass. -- Brandeis rookie Aaron Cusato (San Diego, Calif.) shot his best round as a collegian to tie with five other players for second place at the Blazer Invitational hosted by Elms College at Chicopee Country Club. Thanks to his second-place finish, the Judges came in eighth of 13 teams at the event.
Cusato's two-over-par 73 included three birdies, tied for fourth at the tournament. He also played the par-three holes at even par, tied for third-best. The Judges' other scorers were senior Alex Podell (Los Angeles, Calif.) and sophomore Daniel Goldsmith (Herlizya Pituach, Israel), who tied for 33rd place with rounds of 85 (+14), and rookie Kyle Mangan (Westborough, Mass.), who fired an 89 (+18) to tie for 44th place.
