WALTHAM, Mass. - Brandeis University forward Ben Premo of Florence, Mass., has been named a University Athletic Association (UAA) second-team men's soccer All-Association selection. Junior midfielder Corey Bradley of Holyoke, Mass., and senior midfielder/back Kevin Murphy of Monson, Mass., each garnered honorable mention All-UAA honors.
Premo was the Judges' leading scorer for the third time in his career, earning his third All-UAA selection. He was a second-team selection as rookie in 2005 and a first-team choice in 2006. Premo finished the 2008 season with 10 goals and three assists for 23 points. He tied for sixth in the UAA in points and fifth in goals, marking his third 10-goal season. Premo finished his career with 38 goals and 22 assists for 98 points, tying him for fourth on Brandeis's career goal-scoring list and placing him alone in fifth on the points list. He scored five of the team's eight game-winning goals this season.
Bradley, who was one of the team's top two-way midfielders, and Murphy, who spent time both in the midfield and on the back line, were first-time honorees by the UAA. Bradley had one assist on the season, while Murphy finished with a goal and two assists. Murphy's top performance came in a double-overtime win at WPI on Sept. 17, when he scored the game's first goal in the fifth minute and assisted Premo's game-winner with 50 seconds left in the second overtime period. Bradley's assist came in the Judges' Aug. 30 season opener, a 5-0 win over Endicott College.
