ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. -- The Brandeis University men's tennis team finished in seventh place at the 2013 University Athletic Association championships, going 1-2.

In the consolation round, the Brandeis met New York University in the semifinals. The Judges fell behind, 2-1, after doubles action, with rookie Danny Lubarsky (Cleveland, Ohio/Hawken School) and senior Dave Yovanoff (Eden, N.Y./Eden) earning an 8-4 win at No. 3 for the team's first points of the tournament. In singles play, senior Josh Jordan (Northborough, Mass./Northborough), who was playing in his first singles matches in nearly two months, earned a point at No. 2 with a three-set win, 6-4, 2-6, 6-3.
