Maser named UAA Field Athlete of the Week

WALTHAM, Mass.- Brandeis University rookie Jeffrey maser of Livingston, N.J., has been selected as the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Indoor Track Field Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 16.

Maser, earned his first collegiate victory in the high jump at the Bowdoin Five-Way Meet on Saturday with a height of 1.93 meters (six feet, four inches). Maser's height is the second-best in the UAA this season by two-and-a-half inches. He is currently tied for 22nd in the most recent NCAA Division III rankings. Brandeis placed fourth at the Bowdoin meet with 38 points.

Maser is a 2011 graduate of the Morristown Beard School, Morristown, N.J. He is the son of Steven and Kara Maser.
