Sailing places 19th at Noringer Invitational

Professor Noringer Trophy
Massachusetts Institute of Technology - Saturday, November 8, 2008

Recap: 7 races were sailed in 3-8 knots of wind from the SW. The rain held off all
day.1 protest was disallowed and 2 redresses were heard, one granted and one
denied. This trophy honors famed MIT Professor Irving M.A. Noringer. Among other
notable inventions, he inveted magnetic tape telltales and later made a fortune when
he marketed the invention to the recording industry. Thank you to the pavilion staff-"Willing" Wally Corwin, Greg Dolanation, Patrick "the Kid" Joyce, Conan "Hammy" Hom, and Eric "Don't Mess With Me" Throop.
