Tom Robinson is a lifelong sailor, starting at age 10 at Community Boating on the historic Charles River in Boston, Massachusetts. He continued sailing through college at Northeastern University, where his team qualified for the Atlantic Coast Regionals three years in a row. Since college, Robinson has continued with his sailing career, winning a number of World Championships in many diffent boats, and attending the United States Olympic Trials in 1976. He also spent time coaching at Community Boating for the Junior Sailing Program. Robinson has held the position of Race Committee chairman for the Marblehead Frostbite Committee, a group that organizes winter regattas in the Massachusetts area. He currently serves as the vice-president of the board of officers at Community Boating. Robinson has been coaching the Brandeis varsity sailing team for nearly 20 years.
