Senior epeeist Will Bedor earned his first trip to the NCAA National Collegiate Fencing championships this weekend. Bedor went 15-8 overall in the epee to take an at-large spot in the 2010 national championships, which will be held next week at Harvard.

The Brandeis fencing team had a rare mid-week meet, taking on three local rivals in the Boston Bean Pot tournament. The Judges lost five of six matches, with the only win a victory by the men's team over MIT, 16-11. The women dropped a narrow 14-13 decision to Boston College in which each weapon was decided by one point.

The combined Brandeis fencing teams finished in third place at the 2010 New England championships at Mount Holyoke, with the men's squad placing fifth overall. Both the foil and saber squads finished in fourth place, while the epee squad was sixth.
