Six different players scored points, including the game-winner by Sapir Edalati in the 13th minute, as the Brandeis women defeated the Lasers for the second time this season. The Judges will face Cortland State in the third round Saturday at Ithaca.
AMHERST, Mass. – Sara Isaacson scored two minutes into overtime to lift the Brandeis University women’s soccer team to a 2-1 triumph over Union College in NCAA first-round action Saturday at Hitchcock Field.
In addition to forward Dara Spital and midfielder/back Alec Spivack, both sophomores from Miami, the Judges' formidable defense was recognized with honorable mentions for backs Emma Eddy and Kelly Peterson.
The Judges finished with a 13-4-2 record and are back in the NCAA for the second time in three years. They will travel to Amherst, Mass., to take on Union College in the opening round on Nov. 10 at a time to be announced.
