WESTON, Mass. - Both senior Hollis Viray (Glastonbury, Conn./ Glastonbury) and sophomore Angela Chui (Toms River, N.J. /Peddie School) each won two events, but the Brandeis women's swim team could not overcome Keene State who took the meet Saturday by a score of 155.5 - 121.5.
Viray first took the 1000-yard freestyle (11:22.84) before capturing a victory in the 200- yard breaststroke (2:33.11), beating her seed time by 11 seconds. Chui was victorious in the 200-yard backstroke (2:13.23) as well as the 200-yard IM (2:17.98). The two first place finishes for Chui mark 27 straight wins in individual races at duel meet competitions since the start of her freshman year. Junior Dana Sims (Rockville, Md./Walter Johnson) provided a winning effort in the 1 meter diving event scoring 208.00. She later teamed up with junior Ellen Abramowitz (Hollis Hills, N.Y. /Townsend Harris), senior Dasha Hentoff (Natick, Mass. /New Jewish High School), and senior Lisa Rice (Quincy, Mass. /No. Quincy) to take the 400- yard freestyle relay (4:23.61).
