Judges compete at GBTC meet, Selig lowers mile time

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- At the 2011 At the 2011 Greater Boston Track Club meet,  held at Harvard, several Brandeis competitors performed well in a non-scoring meet.

Senior Grayce Selig (Narberth, Pa./Springside School) continued her fine season. Selig was the top collegian in the mile run, lowering her UAA-best time of the season to 4:57.99. She placed third overall Also taking third for the women were sophomore Casey McGown (Clinton, Mass./Clinton) in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:01.86; and senior Hannah Lindholm (Madison, Wis./West) in the 3,000-meter run in 10:48.48. Senior Luci Capano (Manchester, N.H./Manchester Central) turned in the team's best placement in a field event, placing fifth with a triple jump of 10.72 meters.

On the men's side, junior Chris Brown (No. Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford) had the team's top finish on either side, placing second in the 800 to pace the men. He posted a time of 1:58.04. Sophomore Alex Kramer (No. Andover, Mass./No. Andover) was fourth in the mile runs with a time of 4:20.59.
