Michelle Kim, entering her seventh season as head coach of the
Brandeis University volleyball team, was appointed head coach of
volleyball in the summer of 2004 after five seasons as an assistant
under Sheryl Sousa. As head coach, she has led the Judges to four
ECAC Tournament apperances, including back-to-back titles in 2006
and 2007. She carries a 117-98 record into the 2010 campaign.
A 1996 graduate of Binghamton University, Kim served as an
assistant for two years at Stony Brook University before joining
Sousa on the Brandeis staff in 1999. In that time, she helped lead
the Judges to a 108-84 record. The squad has made four ECAC
tournament appearances in that time, including a 27-15 record and a
berth in the ECAC finals in 2003, tying the school record for wins
in a season.
As a player under Sousa from 1993-96, Kim was a four-year starter
and two-year captain. She helped Binghamton to its first-ever
conference title and NCAA appearance, reaching the New York
Regional semifinals.
Kim, who also serves as Brandeis’s business manager, is a
member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
Bob Roscoe joins the Brandeis volleyball coaching staff as an assistant in 2010. Roscoe has served as an assistant or head coach in New England since 1989, spending time at Wheaton College, Salve Regina University and Bridgewater State College. He guided those programs seven conference championships, including four at Bridgewater State College - three as an assistant and one as the head coach in 2008.
