Lundkvist, a co-captain, turned in her career-best performance at the UMass Dartmouth Corsair Invitational on Sept. 21. Competing on a five-kilometer course, Lundkvist ran a lifetime-best 18:14.77, finishing second overall and as the top collegiate runner of 207 competitors. Lundkvist trailed the unattached winner by just over five seconds. Her previous career best was a fourth-place finish in the Judges' previous meet against Southern Maine, when she tied with three other teammates. Lundkvist was one of five Judges to finish in the top 25. She and her teammates were nearly 45 seconds behind the leader after just one mile before closing the gap in the late stages of the race.
Lundkvist earned UAA Athlete of the Week honors for the second time in her career, having been recognized during the 2012-13 indoor track and field season. She and the Judges appeared in United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) New England region poll for the first time this season at No. 9 on the strength of their second-place performance at UMass Dartmouth. They return to action on Oct. 5 at Keene State College.
Lundkvist is a 2010 graduate of Cheverus High School. She is the daughter of Haakan Lundkvist and Nena Ragay-Lundkvist, South Portland, Maine.
