November 7, 2012 Top seed! Volleyball claims No. 1 spot in ECAC New England tournament, Nov. 9 Wednesday night's ECAC Volleyball quarterfinal match has been postponed because of the inclement weather. It will be made up on Friday, Nov. 9 at 6:30 p.m.
November 2, 2012 Volleyball places seventh at UAAs with losses to Chicago and Rochester Despite a pair of double-doubles by junior setter Yael Einhorn, the Brandeis volleyball team dropped both of its matches at the 2012 UAA tournament to finish the regular season at 19-13. No seventh-place match will be played as NYU dropped out of the tournament.

October 26, 2012 Volleyball opens Judges Classic with sweep of Lasell Liz Hood had 11 kills, while Carly Gutner-Davis had a career-high 10 as the Judges defeated the Lasers, 25-21, 25-13, 25-7.

Michelle Kim Michelle Kim Head Coach 781-736-3633

Michelle Kim, entering her ninth season as head coach of the Brandeis University volleyball team, was appointed head coach of volleyball in the summer of 2004 after five seasons as an assistant under Sheryl Sousa. As head coach, she led the Judges to four ECAC Tournament apperances between 2006 and 2009, including back-to-back titles in 2006 and 2007. She carries a 141-138 record into the 2012 campaign.

A 1996 graduate of Binghamton University, Kim served as an assistant for two years at Stony Brook University before joining Sousa on the Brandeis staff in 1999. In that time, she helped lead the Judges to a 108-84 record. The squad has made four ECAC tournament appearances in that time, including a 27-15 record and a berth in the ECAC finals in 2003, tying the school record for wins in a season.

As a player under Sousa from 1993-96, Kim was a four-year starter and two-year captain. She helped Binghamton to its first-ever conference title and NCAA appearance, reaching the New York Regional semifinals.

Kim, who also serves as Brandeis’s business manager, is a member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
